Essentially it is the way I love to train and move my body these days. We all want our bodies to look good but as you get older you also want it to be functionally strong and useful.
HYPER-FUNC-FLOW is a combination of muscle building training, functional strength training and animal flow movements that will make you look Fit and Athletic, whilst feeling Strong and Useful.
HYPERtrophy is the act of building lean muscle tissue on the body, using traditional weight and bodyweight training.
FUNCtional is for the lifting of irregular shaped weights, such as Kettlebells, Land Mines, Sandbags etc making your body more useful to you in everyday life, it also puts the FUN back into training.
FLOW is for Animal Flow, moving your body weight in a dynamic and fluid way, to improve mobility and flexibility in how you move and think, it also reconnects you with that fun like inner child.
Which begins with us asking the right questions to our bodies and starting to trust the answers that we hear back, it’s a process and muscle that must be used to be strengthened.
In terms of Nutritional Philosophy, a Flexitarian Approach is the one I have now adopted for myself and clients, it offers the best nutrient density and allows for flexibility in tastes and ethics.
Learning to ask your body what it needs and responding honestly is the first step in the process, just because you could eat something 4 times per day due to your ability to source that food group, does it mean you should?
