After a 38 hour trip I touched down at my final destination Mocoa, Colombia and at Wanay Community where I’ll be for a couple of months of plant medicine work whilst also continuing to work with clients on my online projects.

Taking the Smooth with the Rough

After a stressful day just before I got my taxi to Heathrow airport, trying to sort out my car that is still in Ibiza I boarded the plane ready for the flight to Bogota, Colombia equipped with a hopeful attempt at a business class upgrade, which worked!

I’d never flown business class so I was buzzing, what a start to the trip, surely a good omen??

After sleeping horizontally and eating like a king I then had a 10 hour wait before boarding my internal flight to Villagarzon, only to be told when I was checking in that the flight left at 5am and I was never informed of the rescheduling, welcome to Colombia.

The next available flight was 2 days later so I decided to pivot and get on a 15 hour bus journey to the south, like I said, you have to take the smooth with the rough, travelling and going on an adventure is metaphorical in life, you have to embrace and accept it all, otherwise you cause yourself more suffering and anyway this is what adventure is all about.

It was a fairly smooth journey on the bus as it was and I finally got here on Tuesday morning 8am local time after leaving London Sunday night at 11pm.

Here’s a little compilation of my trip…
