What Is Your Environment Telling You?

Everything in life is a mirror and offers us the opportunity to know ourselves through our direct relationship to that place, person or feeling about ourselves.

I truly believe everything in life is a mirror and offers us the opportunity to know ourselves through our direct relationship to that place, person or feeling about ourselves.

If we were in a vacuum where nothing else existed apart from ourselves, we would not know who we are, it is only by observing how we relate to life and what it reflects back to us that we gain a deeper understanding of who we are and who we want to be.

This is what my book ‘The Journey to the Centre of Your Soul’ is all about. Here’s a little excerpt for you to enjoy.

“Environment means ‘the circumstances, objects, or conditions by which one is surrounded’.

It can mean the obvious in terms of the planet, our natural world, climate, soil, and living things. The environment can be defined as the social and cultural conditions that influence the life of an individual or community.

You relate to your environment through your interactions with the natural world and your social circumstances. The environmental mirror asks you questions about yourself regarding your sensory perception.

Through the senses in our human body, we formulate an idea of what physical reality means to us. For each of us, this may be different, and some people will thrive in the urban environment, whilst others (like myself) crave more of the natural world.

There is no right or wrong answer; there is only a right or wrong answer for you. Observing how your environment makes you feel is a critical part of the puzzle in starting to know who you are. This outer ring of relating in your life lays the foundation and the fertile soil you can use to grow and transform.”
